On November 15th – 26th, we hosted our 5th Annual Virtual Women in Leadership Summit on our Digital Events Platform.

Over 50 organizations and 500+ attendees were engaged from the comfort of their own home in skill-building and networking workshops, keynote sessions, a live Awards Ceremony, and numerous roundtable discussions all focused on women in leadership.

This event aimed to bring together business professionals from various industries to learn how we could continue to adapt and grow during and post-pandemic. In addition, CSPN celebrated the tenacious, impactful, and successful industry leaders who work hard to strengthen their brand, their community, and advance the customer experience industry. Nicole McNeill is MPAC’s President and Chief Administrative Officer, responsible for leading the organization as it continues to provide a valuable service to the province of Ontario and advancing MPAC’s global leadership in property assessment.

Under Nicole’s courageous leadership, MPAC is emerging from the pandemic a stronger organization, able to face the unknown head-on. Since joining MPAC in 2011, Nicole has provided leadership in various departments, including Finance, Human Resources, Information Technology, Customer Contact Centre, Facilities Management and Procurement. Her background in private and public-sector companies in a variety of industries has given 20 years of experience dealing with stakeholders and boards while building diverse, high-performing, talented and engaged teams.

Nicole currently serves on the Elexicon Energy Board, and previously served on the Board of the Canadian Urban Institute. She has been a mentor in the Top 200 Management Program at Ryerson University, has been a speaker and panelist at several conferences and has published articles in CA Magazine, Canadian HR Reporter and the Toronto Star.

Sarah Sklash is a co-founder of the June Motel. Prior to becoming a motelier, Sarah spent a decade working in public service, with a focus on vital statistics. During her time in government, Sarah focused on creating customer-centric, efficient processes. She continues to focus on keeping operations running smoothly at The June and is always seeking to make the guest experience as great as possible. She also finds a decade of government experience useful in navigating all the government interactions required as an entrepreneur. Splitting her time between Montreal and Prince Edward County, Sarah is a graduate of Ivey Business School.

Sarah is a passionate traveler, and believes that the moment you first open the doors to a new hotel room is the best feeling in the world. A globe-trotter through and through, Sarah has lived in Australia, Belgium, France, Hong Kong and Israel. Her passions include design and good wine; holding that the best design decisions come from moments when we’re doubting whether we’ve gone too far. Further hobbies of Sarah’s include skiing, leisurely bike rides, and of course, travel.

Maudrie joined Metergy (then Enercare Connections Inc.) in 2014 and has since held several progressive roles across the organization. She was initially Manager of Credit and Debt Management, followed by Sr. Manager of Customer Care Operations. Before joining Metergy, she held management roles at Virgin Mobile, Bell Canada, and in the banking sector.

When Maudrie is not leading her team of +30 customer-facing professionals, she enjoys traveling with her family, mentoring children / youth, and working on home renovation projects.

Her experience spans from retail banking, business banking, finance, project management, technology, and customer support and experience. Kelly has over 17 years of experience in the banking industry, a knack for making meaningful connections, and a passion for uplifting others and maximizing their potential.

Kelly is a proud, born and raised Albertan. Kelly and her fiancé Ian stay active in their community with group fitness classes, walking and biking along the Bow River, exploring Calgary’s fantastic culinary scene, carving up the slopes in the Rockies, and attending as many festivals and events that their great city has to offer. In her pursuit of betterment, Kelly teaches barre and yoga in her community. Recognizing the impacts of the pandemic on mental health, and knowing how fitness plays a role in overall wellness, Kelly teaches barre virtually on a weekly basis to ATB team members.

What is the nomination deadline?

All completed nomination packages must be sent to info@mycspn.com no later than October 15, 2021.

Who can be nominated?

Please refer to the guidelines and descriptions for each award category.  View the categories.

How many award categories may I select?

You may nominate as many award categories as you see best represents the nominee. The judges will make the final selection based on the criterias of all the nominees.

Who selects the award winners?

Submissions are reviewed by a panel of judges comprising of leading industry experts in customer service and women in leadership.

When will the winners be announced?

Winners are announced on November 26, 2021.

What is the dress code for the virtual event?

Feel free to dress up for this live virtual summit in your best business dress or cocktail attire.

Can I purchase a team of 10 or 20?

Yes!  If you are bringing a team, please refer to the rates in the section above for team rates.

Do award winners receive a certificate?

Winners will receive a digital certificate and mentions on our website.

Will nominees be contacted?

Nominees will be notified by CSPN of their nominations.  All nominees are encouraged to attend the event.

Do nominees need to register?

Yes, nominees can register along with their colleagues and team.  Make this event a memorable team event!

Do I have to be a member to participate in events?

You don’t have to be a member to participate; however, you will not receive member discounts and other member benefits.

Cancellation Policy

CSPN understands that schedules can change and despite a registrant’s best intentions they may not be able to attend an event. If a registrant is unable to attend the event an alternate delegate from the registrant’s company is welcome to attend in their place. If a substitute cannot be found, CSPN will accept cancellations and issue refunds under the following conditions:

Cancellation Deadlines

No later than 10 business days prior to the date of the event.

Policies

If CSPN cancels an event for any reason, all registration fees will be fully refunded. Registration fees will be fully refunded minus administrative fees ($100) if the registrant cancels more than 10 business days prior to the date of the event. No refunds will be provided if the registrant cancels after the cancellation deadline or is a “no-show” at the event. Refunds will not be issued to registration cancellations made after the cancellation deadline (less than 10 business days prior to the date of the event) or if a registrant is a ‘no-show’ at the event. If the registrant cancels within 10 business days of event, the registrant may choose to either:

  • Have a substitute registrant attend
  • Apply the full registration amount as a credit towards the registration for a different event offered by CSPN within 12 months from the date of the original event.?

Note: CSPN has the right to cancel, change or reschedule its event and/or venues due to unforeseen circumstances. If a cancellation occurs, CSPN will refund all payments that have been made for that event.

Can we nominate ourselves or individuals again?

You certainly can! There are no restrictions on the number of times you nominate an individual, even if they won previously.

Their number one priority is making sure the customer is actively engaged with the company and that their team(s) is providing an excellent experience throughout the entire customer journey. They have had tremendous impact on improving their team(s)’ capabilities and improving customer engagement. They support their team(s) in any way they can and encourages them to become more customer-centric on a daily basis. This is someone in a managerial/leadership position with direct customer engagement responsibilities.

This person is inspiring, hardworking, and a strong leader with high ambitions and futuristic vision. The team has high regards for this individual and for their work, they appreciate their management style and look for their input. They are someone who has high potential in becoming something great and you trust that they will get there one day. You believe in their capabilities as an emerging leader and amazed by their work ethic, impact and efforts.

The award will be presented to the candidate who has demonstrated growth, a commitment to career development and an ability to take leadership roles and overcome obstacles during the past 12 months.

This person helps others love their job, remain engaged, and encourages them to give their 100% effort. They are likely someone who welcomes ideas and suggestions from their team, encouraging them to remain active in their work and feel like they add value to the organization through their efforts. Their team looks forward to coming to work and they help increase their motivation. They want their team to use their capabilities, realize their potential and grow. This person could also be one who thinks of new ways to engage employees, creating a plan and implementation strategy to help them do so.

Employee Experience Award

This award showcases a forward-thinking entrepreneur who has recognized a new market, product, service, technological advancement or opportunity and led the way. They have demonstrated outstanding leadership within their company and has set standards for originality, quality and successful management.

Entrepreneur

This individual inspires their team and people to reach great heights of performance and success. They drive vision, exudes positivity, and communicates effectively to create an encouraging environment of collaboration, team excellence, and ideation.

Inspirational-Leader

This person is constantly supporting organizational change activities, is futuristic, and propels others to change and reach company goals. Additionally, this individual is a leader and advocate of change within their company and team(s). They provide leadership, coaching and guidance to their team to help ease transitions and increase the rates of adoption for change. They communicate effectively in letting others understand and envision the impact and need for change. They have a clear vision for change and engages employees to work collaboratively and inclusively with team members to create the change and influence positive outcomes.

Change Management

This award recognizes a passionate, inclusive, and welcoming leader whose efforts to promote and raise awareness about diversity and inclusion have had a tangible, positive impact within her organization and/or the community. Their passion and commitment to diversity and inclusion is contagious; they are a role model who inspires action in others.
