About the Speaker
Marina Chernyak leads the U.S. Retail vertical at Visa. Marina joined the U.S. Visa team 3 years ago to lead Visa’s strategy and relationships in the retail space. Marina and her team are responsible for partnering with retail, supermarket and drug merchants on a range of topics to accelerate innovation and drive profitable growth together. Marina has served as the face of Visa to most Retail merchants in Canada and the U.S. for the past 10 years, with responsibility for building relationships/partnerships while driving mutual business objectives for Visa and its merchant clients.
Prior to her U.S. roles, Marina led the merchant business in Canada for several years, working with Canadian merchants to enable new payment and technology flows and solutions, which included the launch of Visa Checkout and tokenization in Canada. Marina also spent 8 years in Strategy, Digital Product & Marketing, including responsibility for merchant activation at the 2010 Olympics in Vancouver. Before joining Visa in 2001, Marina worked in Corporate Communications and Marketing at Bank of Montreal.
Marina hold a business degree with the University of Western Ontario and an M.B.A from Wilfrid Laurier University. She lives in Toronto with her husband and 3 children.

Jessica Cryer is a sharp and experienced Customer Experience consultant who has a passion for helping businesses create, design, build, and execute strategies that will make a tangible difference. Now as the Partner at CSPN, Jessica is responsible for managing a Customer P&L and leading a team in identifying, developing, and executing customer and category growth opportunities through the use of relevant and personalized marketing and sales strategies. Jessica also plays an integral role in leading consulting initiatives that reshape customer-centric thinking and management across organizations.
Prior to joining CSPN, Jessica worked at Monitor Deloitte leading strategy projects for major Canadian financial institutions. Her passion for customer experience led her to Idea Couture, where she focused on customer experience innovation and transformation. Jessica is driven by the opportunity to conceive and build memorable customer and employee experiences, linking disciplines from Strategy, Human Resources, and Service Design to produce desired business outcomes.
