Mindfulness at Work

It’s not new news that our work environments are fast paced and forever evolving. We expect a lot from our employees to keep up and deliver – racing to never-ending deadlines, work piling up, doing more with less. Employees are asked for higher quality, faster turnaround time, greater efficiency and more innovative output, but can people achieve their best in today’s workplace mindset where “busyness” is the modus operandi? 

 With time and stress constraints, when asked for something new and innovative, employees tend to tweak what already exists. There is little time to be creative and novel.  

 So how do organizations develop a productive and agile workplace? It has to start with a shift in mindset. A purposeful slowing down, a re-calibrating of our minds by stepping out of the fray.
